Recommendations for WebMoney Keeper Classic secure operation

1. Follow General security tips to increase security on your computer.
2. Always use the latest version of WebMoney Keeper Classic.
3. Make sure you have up-to-date key file at the removable media and access code for it (unless you use E-Num Storage, eToken or ruToken).
   • Remember or write down the access code to key file (this code is similar to the password for encrypted archive).
   • You are the only person who knows the access code, and if you forget or lose it, you will have to restore access to your WMID in case of WM Keeper Classic failure.
   • If you have forgotten the access code and/or have lost the key file, but have managed to launch Keeper on any computer where it had been initialized, you can save the key file and set up a new access code.
   • This file and access code for it are needed for WebMoney Keeper Classic initialization.
4. To ensure enhanced level of security, use the following to store key files:
   • E-num service, E-num Storage is the authorization system providing access to WebMoney Transfer services via a secret key (a unique cipher-pad) that is stored on the mobile phone/PDA or in the biometric identifier (biometric fingerprint reader).
   • USB-drive ruToken USB drive
   • USB-drive eToken USB drive
5. Secure use of the software on a public computer is possible only if the keys are stored in E-Num Storage, eToken or ruToken.
6. Enable WebMoney Keeper Phone Activation to receive the Activation Code to your mobile phone as an SMS or voice message (by default, the activation code is sent to your e-mail). :https://wiki.wmtransfer.com/wiki/show/Activation to your mobile phone (by default, the activation code is sent to your e-mail).
7. Enable IP Blocking at the "Security service”:https://security.wmtransfer.com/asp/setallyip.asp web-site.
   • After the blocking is enabled, you can use Keeper only from the IP-addresses that were specified in Allowed IP Addresses list.
   • If the blocking is enabled, and in case of the attempt to connect to the system from an IP-address not listed in the Allowed list, the system access will be denied, and the message containing unblocking code will be sent to the e-mail or phone specified when the blocking was enabled.
   • If you have any difficulties defining your IP-address, use the tip at the IP Blocking page.
   • Use the mode supporting sending the unblocking code to the phone, not to the e-mail.
8. For secure and convenient work with WebMoney Transfer System services use Recommendations for browser settings.
9. To control the state of WM Keeper Classic while away from the computer where it is installed use the Notifications service.
