After IP blocking is enabled, WM Keeper Classic and WM Keeper Light can be run only from computers, whose IP-addresses are included in the specified IP range.
Access blocking by IP-address can be set at Blocking page of Security service https://security.wmtransfer.com website.
In case of the attempt to get Keeper connected to the system servers from the unauthorized IP-address, the message containing unblocking instructions is sent to the e-mail you specified in the settings.
You can also receive the unblocking code to your mobile phone. If you have enabled this option, after WM Keeper has been blocked, a link to the unblocking code input page will be e-mailed, and the code, in its turn, will be sent to the mobile phone as the SMS message.
In the blocking settings, it is recommended to specify the e-mail that is different from the e-mail specified in the registration data of your WMID.
You can enter the list of allowed IP-addresses by yourself. If the ISP enables your Internet access with the dynamic IP-address, the address and the subnet mask are automatically calculated by the service based on your current IP-address.
If you receive “The attempt to enter from the blocked address” message, it means that you have enabled IP blocking at https://security.wmtransfer.com website, your IP-address has changed and is currently out of range of the allowed IP-addresses. See more details in Attempt to enter from the blocked IP-address.
